This native New Yorker from North Babylon, NY is a voting member of The Recording Academy (The Grammys), a member of The Actor's Equity Association (AEA), The Screen Actor's Guild, (SAG-AFTRA), The Associated Musicians of Greater New York (AFM - Local 802) and The National Association For Multi-Ethnicity In Communications (NAMIC).  She's also Producing Artistic Director, General Manager & Founder of Angelic Star Records Entertainment Unlimited (ASREU).  

 

She's a recording artist with a deep love of music rooted in gospel.  As an actor, she possess an innate sensibility of capturing the emotions to stimulate a reaction of change within those who observe the productions she's affiliated with.

 

Noreen is proud to be the Lead Producer for MISSISSIPPI THE MUSICAL presented Summer 2019 by the New York Musical Festival (NYMF) .

 

Her love for the arts runs deep.  She's a vocalist, songwriter, recording artist and producer with 4 solo albums to her credit backing up artists like Lane McCray and the late Melanie Thornton of the dance duo LA BOUCHE, Kim Sanders and CULTURE BEAT, Colin Rich, Phylliss McCoy Joubert, the late Bob Singleton, Charlie Creath, Melody Gardot and Minnie Dee. 

 

In the studio, Noreen arranged vocals and co-wrote the lead single, 'UP TO ZION,' from Ronnie Milsap's Dove Award Nominated album, "THEN SINGS MY SOUL," with Gregory James Tornquist produced by Rob Galbraith.

 

She also won an Independent Music Award through ASREU for writing and recording Best Gospel Song 'WALKING IN THE FAITH.'

 

Most recently seen on television's GOTHAM,  her single release, 'I’M A MIRACLE' written by Bishop Kenneth Curry and produced by Ben Steifel is in rotation on gospel radio and available with the rest of her releases on iTunes/Amazon & elsewhere.

 

Theater credits include; the National Touring Company of RENT,  the Goodspeed & Arena Stage productions of ABYSSINNIA, A NEW YORK LAMENTATION, LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, FOR COLORED GIRLS..., PIPPIN, the blues musical, A NEW PAIN & the Off Broadway, National and European Tours of MAMA I WANT TO SING. 

 

Born in Brooklyn, NY, raised in North Babylon, Long Island, she is an alumnae of Oberlin College, studied acting at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting and holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in the Dramatic Arts from New York City's Pace University. 

 

A proud resident of Harlem for almost 30 years, Noreen thanks her family for all of their love and support throughout her lifetime pursuit of excellence in the arts.

 

Always, her most fervent prayer is that the artistic experiences she has been able to create will uplift, inspire and encourage others....particularly to those who have ignored or stifled their own dreams so that they can find their way back to themselves.
